Description

This beautiful townhome, complete with all new, top-to-bottom, furnishings, linens, decor and kitchenware is located in Durango at the north end of town, at the gateway to the high mountains on the edge of the Animas River Valley.

The two bedroom, three bath townhome comfortably sleeps six people with a king bed, queen bed and new queen size sleeper sofa in the living room.  The main level on the second floor includes living room dining room and kitchen acting as a roomy gathering place for guests and the two bedrooms are on the upper level, each with their own private bath.

Several great options for outdoor living include a ground level patio with outdoor dining, balconies from each bedroom and the living room, and open garden space between buildings.  An impressive, large park area behind the homes includes a playground, gazebo with picnic tables, a pond, and a beautifully turfed, open, grassy field for fun and games, with views of the valley and surrounding mountains.

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, The Durango Train, actually passes through the property between the townhomes and the park, so guests simply walk a few feet to see the train pass right in front of them.  From the park, and depending on the seasonal train schedule, the train rolls into view as while guests enjoy the outdoor park area.

A five minute drive to the south will take guests to historic downtown Durango, Colorado.  This townhome is located on the San Juan Scenic Skyway, which is an incredibly scenic driving loop that connects Durango, Mancos, Mesa Verde National Park, Telluride, Ouray, Silverton and Purgatory, as well as many fantastic trails for hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing and other Rocky Mountain adventures.

Free parking for two vehicles is available immediately outside the entrance to the townhome with additional parking a few steps away.

A five-minute drive to the south will take guests to historic downtown Durango, Colorado, where many choices for dining, shopping and entertainment await, and the Durango Train Depot and Museum are located at the south end of Main Avenue.  

Winter visitors will be a 25 minutes drive away from the main ski runs at Purgatory Resort while still finding themselves in a quiet townhome neighborhood with easy access and 24 hour check-in availability.  

For the cycling enthusiast, the home is located on the main route of the Durango Valley Loop, a very popular road bike ride for locals and visitors which includes a scenic stop at Baker's Bridge, the famous spot where Butch and Sundance jumped into the Animas River to make their get-away in the now classic movie.

Motorcycle enthusiasts will encounter completely paved roads and parking to and from the paved San Juan Scenic Byway, which offers a popular scenic drive for motorists of all kinds.  Mountain bikers have many choices of trails that allow bikes, and hikers are a short drive away from a vast array of high mountain hikes.

Horseback rides and more await summer visitors, and this townhome is a very convenient location to winter activities including skiing and snow boarding at Purgatory, snowmobile tours in the high country, cross country skiing, horse drawn sleigh rides and more.  This townhome is on the edge of the Animas River Valley on the northern edge of Durango, surrounded by the red rock cliffs that rise up to create scenic discoveries all around.

Gorgeous retreat in Durango with amazing views of mountains. We loved our stay at this gorgeous place! So relaxing and comfortable! The decor is "mountain lodge" style meets Ralph Lauren chic! Kitchen is amazing with stainless steel new appliances! Bed super comfy and nice sheets towels etc! Great location close to all in Durango! Also loved parking inside garage! This is the Ritz of Durango condos! Can't wait to come back in Fall when leaves are changing!

Great condo! This condo is clean and comfortable and my family had a great time. The Durango train passes right by the condo complex and was fun to go watch it pass by. There is a park area where the kids can play outside.
