This stylish and comfortable home is conveniently located about 15 minutes from downtown Durango, making a great year round, all season base camp.

Modern mountain architecture and contemporary decor provide style, comfort and privacy, with one-bedroom-per-floor layout.

Easy-to-reach residence in a wooded neighborhood about 15 minutes from downtown Durango.  Neighborhood lots sized three to five acres, so other houses can be seen from this home, but they are not very close. Paved road access all the way, until reaching the gravel driveway.  Parking for multiple vehicles in front of the home.

A peek at the La Plata Mountains, (Durango’s home mountains), through the trees easily reminds guests that the rugged, high mountains of Colorado are a short drive from this home.  Travel to and from this home is safe, easy and convenient, so it’s a great place to stay for reaching area activities and attractions, while providing a private, quiet retreat.

Enjoyment of the home begins when entering the front door, into the open floor plan living room, dining room and kitchen.  Comfort and convenience in the living room includes TV with streaming service, plus a gas fireplace.  French doors in the living room lead to the open deck with patio table surrounded by Ponderosa Pine forest, creating a ‘treehouse’ like feel.

On the main, middle level of the three story home, is the well-appointed kitchen that is open to the living room and dining room, offering ease of use, whether for morning coffee, or at mealtime, with kitchen counter dining in addition to the formal dining table.

Privately tucked around the corner, behind the kitchen, is a bedroom with queen size bed.  A 3/4 bath in found in the hallway, near this bedroom, also serves as the powder room for the living space.

Upstairs from the living area, is a loft and home office with desks for those who need a bit of workspace while traveling.

Also on the upper level, is the master bedroom suite with queen size bed and private deck to bring the outdoors in.   The sunny, ensuite master bath is accessed directly from the bedroom for added privacy.  This suite truly offers a cozy, nest-like living environment.

On the lower level is a fantastic den that serves as a media room with large TV and sectional sofa.  A game table compliments this room and creates a second living space that is separate from the great room on the main level above.

Bedroom three is located on this lower level, and it is equipped with two twin beds.  To the back to the game area, is the utility room, with full-size clothes washer and dryer for guest convenience.

The entire home is filled year round with beautiful mixed shade and sun mountain light, giving a wonderful, ‘fresh-air’ vibe to those in the home.  Simply put, it feels good to spend time in this home.

A deposit on 25% is due at booking and the balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival date. If you are booking inside of 30 days prior to arrival then the total amount is due at booking.

In winter (November through April), It is NECESSARY that you have a four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicle, vehicles with medium to high clearance and winter/snow tires. Although the roads and driveway are well-maintained, they will be snow packed and slick. Please be aware that if we have a heavy snowfall, the highways and roads have to be plowed first so that emergency vehicles can get through then driveways will be done so your driveway may not be plowed first thing. They do not plow neighborhood roads or driveways unless we receive 5”-6” of snow.

Consistent with most Colorado mountain resorts, the home does not offer air-conditioning. Home is equipped with either a ceiling fan, box fan and at least one opening window to assist with climate control.
