This vacation home is an excellent example of what a Rocky Mountain luxury log home should be; a private, beautifully-constructed and furnished house with amenities like hot tub with outdoor TV, outdoor living/dining, indoor/outdoor fireplaces and well-appointed kitchen, baths and bedrooms.

This home is considered to be an excellent family and group gathering place after the day’s activities, with common spaces to convene, plus rooms and outdoor spaces offering privacy when desired.

Concerning the home’s location, Durango Valley Overlook provides as much privacy as possible for and in-town home.  Taking a paved city street to a private, well-maintained gravel road (only a few hundred feet of gravel) and finishing with a concrete approach and parking area at the home.  This home is on its own private hilltop, and while there are other homes nearby, it feels like your own, private mountain retreat when a the home.

Please be aware that the driveway is accessible to all passenger cars in summer, but may require all-wheel-drive, or four-wheel-drive, medium to high clearance vehicles in snowy, winter conditions, and caution should be used for motorcycle travel.  Please contact us with any questions regarding vehicle access.

The whole family was thrilled with the home and amenities. Watching movies at night in the hot tub, the perfect amount of seating for all 10 of us at the dining table. The sofa was the largest I think we've ever seen and we could all sit comfortably in the living room. So much space for the family to spread out for various activities and the kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens I've ever been in. The only stressful thing, was worrying about marring the exquisite dining table. So beautiful we were almost afraid to touch it!

This might be the nicest rental we have ever stayed in and I have stayed in rentals all over the country. It was clean and comfortable. Beautiful home with spectacular view, it had everything we needed. We were there for a wedding so we did not get to spend as much in the house as we would have liked, we didnt ever want to leave. We will definitely rent this home again.

A deposit on 25% is due at booking and the balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival date. If you are booking inside of 30 days prior to arrival then the total amount is due at booking.

Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am.

In winter (November through April), It is NECESSARY that you have a four-wheel-drive or all-wheel -drive vehicle, vehicles with medium to high clearance and winter/snow tires. Although the roads and driveway are maintained they are steep and curvy and will still be snow packed and slick.
