Arrival at the home begins with a private, reserved, off-street parking space dedicated to this condo which eliminates the challenges of downtown parking. The main entrance, steps away from the private parking spot, is accessible from the sidewalk without having to enter the main building lobby. This condo may be literally the closest walking distance to Historic Main Avenue of any other vacation rental in all of Durango.

Three steps up from the sidewalk, is the entry to this one-level condo, leading to the open living room kitchen and dining room floor plan. The kitchen is complete with appliances, cookware and tableware, and in the living room, guests will find flat screen TV with cable service, a DVD player and sofa with queen-size, convertible bed.  The private bedroom includes queen sized bed. The bathroom is a 3/4 bath with walk-in shower.

Outside the entrance to this suite, is the sidewalk near the corner of W. 10th Street and Main Avenue, where travelers are in the midst of Historic, downtown Durango, surrounded by restaurants, shopping, art galleries and entertainment.

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and Museum (The Durango Train) is five blocks walking distance from this spot. The Durango Welcome Center, with an abundance of visitor information, is two blocks walking distance at the corner of 8th Street and Main Avenue.

They were very helpful in assisting me with entering the property. I had the code, but failed to realize I needed to turn the lock itself to open the door.

In the past I had stayed at the General Palmer hotel. This was the first time I had stayed at an AirBnB and it made me feel like a local.
