This two bedroom, two and one half bath home is located on a hillside corner lot, in a quiet, in-town neighborhood that is close to downtown Durango. The elevated location affords open views of mountains from the main and upper levels of the home.
Entering the home through the front door, guests will pass a powder room bath and laundry room as they enter the open concept living room, dining room and kitchen. Beyond the living room is the large covered balcony which serves as an extension of the living area, with panoramic mountain views. The living room includes a cozy gas fireplace and streaming, SMART™ TV.
Adjacent to the living room, is the dining room with seating for up to six, plus additional seating at the kitchen counter. The gourmet kitchen includes cherry cabinets, modern appliances, a full array of utensils and enough room to prepare everything from morning coffee, to a holiday feast.
A ‘half flight’ of stairs leads from the living room up to the master bedroom suite. This bedroom includes king bed, a large, ensuite bath with dual vanities, ample closet space and wonderful views of the La Plata Mountains to the West.
On the lower level guests will have access to a large den with desk, plus craft table, which can serve as an additional work space or computer desk. This home has some of the fastest residential internet/WiFi we have ever experienced in Durango, making an excellent work-from-home environment. Off the den, is a covered patio, with access to the front of the home via an exterior walkway.
A bedroom with queen size bed is located on this lower level, as is a full bath with dual vanities and kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and sink.
Parking for two passenger vehicles is available in the attached garage, and there is enough space for larger vehicles in the off-street driveway located in front of the home.
